Luxe Magazine: Winter 2011 Syracuse Taupe

Smack dab on the front cover of this season's Luxe Magazine is a beautiful photograph of R. Haviland & C. Parlon's Syracuse Taupe.

And on page 064, in the spotlight section, is another photo of the Syrcuse Taupe Bread & Butter Plate along with these words,
"The pattern on this Bread & Butter Plate - now introduced in its newest taupe colorway - was inspired by Henri Salvador's classic French song "Syracuse." French artist Arielle de Brichambaut definitely fashioned her graceful design with subtle nuance and a myriad of eye-catching details. As a finishing touch, the sumptuouse five-piece Limoges porcelain collection is accented in 22-karat gold."

The designer who picked to show Syracuse is Philip Gorrivan, "This place setting is like a beautiful string of pearls; elegant but not overstated. It's appropriate for either a formal dinner or a casual late-night supper with friends. The intricate design, coupled with the gray tones, transcends time. I have a similar set of china from Mottahedeh, and its versatility continues to amaze me."
