MELON TUREEN AND STAND. SMALL

This life-like hand painted striped tureen in the shape of a melon with stem, and leaf underplatter is a fine object for a table or coffee table. The fashion for tureens in the form of animals, fruits and vegetables was a well known stiye in Italian faience in the late 1700's. Ours is made of a soft paste white porcelain. Also offered in a large size; it is perrenial.
