MELON TUREEN AND STAND. LARGE

This life-like hand painted striped tureen in the shape of a melon with stem, and leaf underplatter, is sure to impress. The fashion for tureens in the form of animals, fruits and vegetables was a well known stiye in Italian faience in the late 1700's. Ours is made of a soft paste white porcelain. Also offered in a smaller size; it is perennial.
